Using bleach?
Using Lamisil? If you used Lamisil, what was your success? Did you worry about liver failure?

I personally had an allergic reaction to Lamisil. It was real bad. I looked online for natural remedies. I was using full strength Listerine for about 6 months or more twice a day and I have been using Tea Tree Oil as well and continue to use it. Toe nails can take one year or longer to cure. I don’t think it will ever really be totally cured. Wish I would have had the nails removed permanently when I had the chance.

Good Luck

here are a few sites to look at:

Is there anybody out there who has actually cured their nail fungus, even if it does take a year, without using oral medication?

Yes, and so will Vicks Salve. I don’t know why it works but it does.

If you want to look for fingernail fungus cures, then you have several options that you can try. Although some of them are effective, others could possibly worsen the problem when not applied properly. Among your choices are medications that should prevent the infection from occurring and operations that possibly remove the infected fingernail.

How to Check for Fungal Infection

Most people suffering from fungal infections will notice a certain discoloration in their fingernails. It usually starts as a small white, yellow, or brownish spot and soon enough it will grow along with the nail and infect the entire nail. Once you notice this sign, then seek treatment right away. Without the proper fingernail fungus cures applied, the infected finger could get worse and the infection could spread to your other fingernails. Once you do an early cure, this could help minimize the treatment period and increase the possibility of completely curing your fingernail.

Types of Treatment for Fingernail Fungus

As treatment, you can opt to use antifungal pills or topical ointments. Oral medications as fingernail fungus cures are also effective. However, intake should be closely monitored as they normally pose harmful side effects. Topical creams, on the other hand, are more ideal since they can be bought almost anywhere and are also effective with little or no side effects. These are usually applied to the infected nail and then to the surrounding area of the nail. They are also known to help prevent the reoccurrence of the problem.

But if you’re in search for that all-natural solution that has minimal or zero side effects, then you should try out this amazing all-natural cure that has completely eliminated my nail fungus problems. Made from a great combination of natural oils, this product should top your list when it comes to the best of fingernail fungus cures.

I have a nasty fungus on one big toe that won’t go away.

What can I use to treat it naturally? I’ve been using tea tree oil, soaking in Apple cider vinegar etc but it’s not clearing it up. Frustrating because it worked on my other big toe in a matter of weeks but this other toe is very stubborn.

Please only give natural suggestion as I won’t use any type of Rx or OTC remedy.

NeatFreak,
Look here, it may be of interest.

hey there, my left and right big toes are infected with fungus. Just the two big toes. They have been infected for quite long time (around 4 years).
They are a mix of dark yellow black. When they got infected I took very good care of my feet and the infection didnt go far. I tried every cream and spray but my toes have not come back to the healthy color. Is there any solution?

First try soaking your feet daily in distilled white vinegar it prevents fungus from growing. You will need to do this DAILY for about 15 minutes over the course of a few months (there is no quick fix) and as your toenails grow out you should notice that there is less or no fungus on the new nail coming in. Trim off the infected part of the nail and keep going until the fungus is completely gone.
You could also try applying Vicks Vapor Rub or tea tree oil to the affected nails, again daily, over the course of several months to the same effect as the vinegar (healthier nail appears behind the infected nail)
If you see no improvement at all over a course of about 6 months then try going to your doctor for a prescription. It is hard on your liver but blood tests should help determine if your liver is healthy enough to handle to medication. You should notice an improvement on the medication after around 3 months or so.
If none of that works then you may be faced with the fact that you may need to have the toenails surgically removed.
