does anyone know a home remedy that really works for toe nail fungus? Its on 1 toe the big one, but no where else, yet. I need something that will get results quick! please help!! I currently don’t have medical coverage, and not much $ to spend, and i’m a single mom of 3 so quick and easy would be nice. am I dreaming? or is there something out there that will work?

The Doctor at Kaiser recommended Vick’s vapo rub, just brush it on morning and night, the fungus hates it but all remidies take months to work, usually long enough for the fungus to die and the nail grow out new.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had a nail fungus ? Well, hope someone can help, though I did go to the doctor, has anyone tried a home remedy. Well, I have been going to the gym and doing exercise at my house, I have been putting on closed sneakers, I noticed that my two toe nails were kind of long and were pressuring against the sneaker, but I did not think anything of this, untill I noticed like a little bit of blood, probably the pressure of the toe against the sneaker, doctor said it was fungus but I have a feeling its not fungus, but anyway if it were , can someone tell me a good home remedy, drinking pills can damage your liver, confused…..please help

I have the same thing and was told to use tea tree oil put on your nails that are infected with a Qtip. It can take up to a year for proper healing. Tea tree oil can be purchased at a local health food store.

I went to the doctor because I have this bad fungus on my toe nail, I expected to get pills for this like lamisil or diflucan I have known people to use these pills but my doctor prescribed me something called Penlac it’s like a nail polish that I brush on every day. Does anyone know how long this will take to take effect? And or does anyone know any home remedies for this

The most famous home-remedy for toenail fungus is Vicks Vapo-Rub. Wah & dry feet well, smear rub on & under nails (which should be trimmed as short as possible). Do this at least twice a day. While it is not effective for everyone who tries it, it has a preety good record, it is cheap & it is safe.. It may take up to a year to totally grow out a healthy nail, & at that time, it is suggested that you treat the nails a couple times a week as a preventive..

How does one get rid of toe nail fungus? I heard that it’s expense if I have to get a prescription from the doctor….so are there any home remedies or over the counter meds I can take?

Ask about the watered down bleach soaks that are being experiemnted with, its important that the bleach water ratio be correct, bleach is a health hazard adn not to be used without knowledge.
I did a quick google, read as much as you can before you proceed ok, so you dont endanger your over all health. Many chemicals are very hard on our liver and other body organs, its not worth life long damage for curing nail fungas ok. Heres two links and do more research to be safe.

I switched nail salons, and after my last pedicure I notice white nail fungus growing underneath my right toenail.

How can I get rid of this? Any homeopathic or over the counter remedies?

There are homeopathic self-help remedies available over-the-counter (approved by the FDA) to use for first-aid and acute care problems. An acute health problem is something that comes on quickly, lasts a short time, and resolves – like a cold, flu, cough, or even PMS as an acute "exacerbation" of a chronic problem.

toenail fungus is a "constitutional" health problem, for which you would need to consult with a classical homeopath. We sit with new clients for 1-2 hours to go through current symptoms (for example, perhaps you also have headaches, or backaches, or menstrual cramps), past health history, family health history, life situation, and general symptoms – like response to weather, sleep patterns, food preferences, etc. From that we research to find a remedy that will restore deep inner harmony to your organism, facilitating healing from the inside-out (where it begins, contrary to appearances).

http://www.homeopathicdirectory.com is the national directory for any homeopath certified in N. America. Around the world, you’d have to be sure a homeopath has similar qualifications. Because it’s so readily available, people misunderstand what homeopathy is. Even practitioners who claim to offer homeopathy often have a consumer-level awareness. Look for someone certified whose practice is 100% classical homeopathy – no acupuncture, kinesiology (muscle testing), etc.

It might spontaneously resolve if you’re otherwise in good health. If not, though, and other toenails become involved, think about calling a homeopath.

I have had toe nail fungus since i was little. It is really embaressing. I have seen a podiatrist a few times but they keep perscribing me meds that my insurance will not cover. Anyone have any home remedies or OTC meds that have worked for them?

what actually worked for me was vicks vapo rub!! you have to put it on every night and it will actually work!! it takes a few months to see the results because the new nail has to grow in ,but keep up with it and it works!!

any herb & remedies for Nail Fungus i found this is it best for this problem ! http://www.zetaclear.com?aid=755773

Dipping your fingers in bleach will surely clear this out. No need to soak, cut your nails and then dip in bleach for about 10 seconds. Wait about 60 seconds and then rinse. You probably would need to do this no more than once a week.
