Tea tree oil works really well for nail fungus.

tea tree oil is a powerful antifungal and will kill the fungus quite well, and leave all the healthy tissue unharmed, unlike some medications out there.

Just apply pure tea tree oil as often as possible and you’ll notice a difference within a few days.

Good luck,

Lamisil if money is no object. Otherwise, Sporanox will do. More risk of liver toxicity with Sporanox. Both have same treatment time (the amount of time it takes to grow new toenails).

I can’t afford medical treatment for my toenail fungus so it is getting worse… My nail is falling off, and because of the fungus, I doubt it’ll grow back. What should I do about this? When it comes out, what do I need to do?

When it falls out, flush it down the toilet.

Ive heard conflicting stories about the laser treatment (if it works or not) So if anyone has had the laser treatment I would sure like to know if it worked for you or not?

I work for a DR that does the procedure , its def better than taking the pills since this has NO side effects at all if you feel anything it could be some warmness from the laser .The studies show its 88% successful . We’ve personally done over 600 patients and the majority come back happy. How it works is it kills the fungus underneath the nail bed and when you nail grows back it will grow back looking clear. It is expensive but just depends how bad you want it hope you find the right solution :)

I know it is icky, nasty and disgusting. Preferably a homeopathic solution, but any solution is better than none.

Thanks for any input.

the best treatment.. is to keep your nails trimmed..

dry your digits well after bathing etc.. ie your fingers and toes…

and if you have already started seeing signs of the little monster’s effects on your nails……

open toe sandals.. etc so that your feet/ nails are exposed to the sun.. as UV light penetrates the nail.. and fries the little critters.

The Dr has given me a fungi nail treatment called ‘Trosyl’
I am just wondering if anybody has ever used this and if it was sucessful? If so, how long did it take for your toenails to be cured?

Also, how many times per day did you apply it?
The box says ‘use daily’ although the instructions say ‘use every 12 hours’

Thanks.

bout a year to clear up

My bf has a case of nail fungus and has had it for about six months or more he was never sure what it was until we met up. I told him what I thought it might be. We do not have alot of money at the moment because of the Christmas hump. What is the best way to treat it with over the counter meds. Now I looked it up at WebMd and it said use tea tree oil. We found a blue goo treatment with the tea tree oil in it and not sure if it is helping at all. Keep in mind that we are just getting started with this treatment. Does anyone have any ideas on what would help?

I did a check for you and found that there are other alternatives to tee tree oil. In fact, there are quite a number. Instead of laying them all here, you may wish to check this reference section on nails fungus – all the articles are contributed by several writers on the subject of nail fungus – http://www.healthandwellnesscentral.com/Category/Nails-Nail-Fungus/204
