I broke my toe nail last spring. It didnt break all the way but that is how my toe nail fungus started. I have read a lot of about it and I really prefer not to take Lamisil.

Have you ever had toe nail fungus and cured it? How did you do it? How long did it take?

I want to hear some real people with remedies they used that have worked. Right now my nail seem to be growing fine from the bottom but the top part is all infected and I dont want it to spead to the new growing nail.

Also, summer is coming up and I need to wear sandals. My nail is so ugly. What should I do? Its my toe nail.

Happened to me once and aside from buying the WAY expensive meds for it the doc recommended that I soak the nail in Original Listerine. I thought he was nuts but it helped!!!

To treat athlete’s foot and jock itch, use the over-the-counter Lamisil.
To treat nail fungus, you must get the prescription Lamisil pills. Topical liquids don’t work!

It gets under my nail, it’s hard to cure. I don’t want to take pills.

This is really wierd but i swear it works! Vicks Vaporub. Use it on the nail and in a few months it’s gone. I swear! Read it in one of the medical columns in the news paper, the Dr. swears by it!

there is a pill from the doc but the best way is to take vit E pill and use that on your nail go cut your nail and rub it on and in the nail line that works good Vitamin E

I refuse to take the harmful drugs the doctors want to give us for nail fungus. I’ve found that Oregano Oil will cure your nail fungus in the same time as the drugs. I promise you it works. But if you try this, you MUST get the Oil that contains P73. The "regular" oil won’t work. The P73 oil is more expensive, but for $15, you can cure fungus. Only use a small drop and get it under the end of the nail if you can. Raise up the end of the nail and drop in there. Massage into the whole nail also. One bottle, and definitely no more than 2, will cure it. Good luck.

I had a doctor tell me Tea Tree Oil or Vics Vapor Rub twice a day for approximately 8-12 months works. You have to apply the stuff on the nail & the skin around the top of the nail (where the fungus starts). You can track your results by measuring the distance between the top of the nail and where the fungus starts on the nail. as you apply the oil and periodicly trim your nails you should see the fungus begin to reduce itself, and obviously try and keep your feet or hands clean and dry. good luck!

Vicks Vapor Rub formula. Apply right on the fungus everyday, and a round the nail. Not sure how the products work but im a Nail Technician and we learned that in school and also from my boss. I know it sounds crazy but it will help!

No, there is no anti fungal in Vicks.

Buy some tea tree oil from the pharmacy or Natural Health food store and use that. It is safe and effective.
Make sure it is a good grade though T36 C5 which is a pharmaceutical grade.
